We are dedicated to listening to you, discussing your physical and mental concerns in an honest and open fashion. ​For many years our practice has been involved in the education of medical students and students may visit the practice to observe consultations as part of their curriculum. We always advise patients in advance if a student is present and will only invite a student to observe your consultation with your full permission.

Meet our Doctors
Dr Hebat Seiam

Hebat Graduated from the University of Cairo in 1990. She worked in General Medicine and then Gynaecology before she moved to Ireland over a decade ago. She started working in General Practice in Ireland in 2008. She has been working in Waterford as a GP since 2009 and has a huge following of patients. She has a wealth of experience and is excellent clinically in all aspects of medicine encountered in General Practice. She has a special interest in women’s health, family planning, mental health, gynaecology and endocrinology. She has an advanced certificate in Family Planning and is expert at insertion of Intra-uterine contraception. Hebat like Paul Campbell also holds the LFOM in occupational medicine and likewise is experienced in looking after all aspects of occupational medicine - including pre-employment medicals , annual employment medicals, and exit medicals. She has experience advising HR Managers on all aspects of occupational medicine. Hebat also is a member of the Irish College of General Practitioners and is on the specialist register of General Practitioners with the Irish Medical Council.
Dr. Ciara Mc Donald

Ciara graduated from Trinty College Dublin in 2008. She completed her intern year in Dublin and then worked in New Zealand for three years. A large amount of her time in new Zealand was spent in General Practice and in OBGYN. She completed a certificate of Pre and Early Pregnancy Management with the University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Rural general Practgice education programme with RNZCGP. She has been working as a GP in Waterford since finishing the South East General Practice training scheme in 2017. Ciara is a mum of three young children and has enjoys paediatric medicine. She has a special interest in women’s health including pregnancy planning and fertility issues, antenatal and postnatal care, contraception and HRT/menopause care. She is adept at all aspects of chronic disease care including asthma, copd, diabetes and heart disease.
Dr. Paul Campbell

Paul graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2004. Since graduation Paul has worked in emergency medicine and general practice in Northern Ireland. He commenced his GP training in the Mater Hospital in Belfast completing this in 2009. Paul is experienced in all areas of chronic disease management. He has completed a certificate in Diabetes Management in General Practice. He also has a special interest in end of life care and he holds a Certificate in Essential Palliative Care. Paul is also trained in minor surgery and the provision of joint injections. Paul has 4 Children and is experienced in managing Paediatrics in General Practice. Paul holds the LFOM qualification in Occupational Medicine and is experienced in looking after all aspects of occupational medicine - including pre-employment medicals, annual employment medicals, and exit medicals. He has experience advising HR Managers on occupational medicine. Paul set up and continues to train the Dunmore East first responder group and has a special interest in out of hospital emergency care.
Dr. Paul O’Hara

Paul Graduated from University College Dublin in 2005. Paul worked as an Intern for a year in the Mater Hospital in Dublin. After internship he completed Basic Surgical Training based out of University College Hospital Galway and rotated through the major surgical specialities. He worked lecturing medical students for 6 months in the National Orthopaedic Centre in Cappagh and as a Registrar in Emergency Medicine in Beaumont Hospital in Dublin. Afterwards he commenced specialist training in General Practice on the South East General Practice training Scheme. Paul is experience in all areas of Acute and Chronic Disease care. He has a special interest in Diabetes care in the practice and is a member of the Local Waterford DIGP (a voluntary group set up by local GPs with an interest in improving Diabetes Care in the local community). He is interested in chronic disease care especially Asthma, COPD, Heart Disease, Hypertension, Multi-morbidity and care of the elderly, Mental Health, and Men’s health. Paul has 3 small kids and enjoys Paediatric Medicine. Paul carries out Minor Procedures and Joint Injections.
Dr. Leanne McMenamin

Leanne graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2008 after which she carried out a general medical scheme for 2 years. She completed the four year South East Gp training scheme. Special interests include contraception including implanon and Mirena Coil insertion, Womens Health, and General medicine. Leanne has three children and enjoys paediatric medicine.
Dr. Colm Leahy

Colm studied medicine in RCSI and graduated in 2013 and after intern year he carried out the four year Specialist GP training programme in Cork. He has worked as a GP in Ireland for the past five years since completing GP training. He is interested in all aspects of General Practice.

Our Practice Manager Zita Greene along with our reception team Edel Fagan, Suzanne Melay, Reine Campbell, Sandra Walsh & Sinead McGrath, all enable the smooth running of our practice. They are always on hand to give you a warm welcome and to assist you with any queries you might have.

When you telephone the practice receptionists will ask you for a few details. They have been trained to manage these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way.

Strict confidentiality is maintained by all staff on all matters relating to the health of our patients. Reception staff are here to help you but their job is very demanding, and they are often very busy. So please be patient.
